New Patients

Your first orthodontic visit will consist of an examination and discussion of potential treatment options. This important visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if this is the proper time to begin treatment.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child be evaluated by the age of 7 and while some children will benefit dramatically by having treatment at this age, most kids will benefit by waiting for more growth and development.

For your first visit, please take time to complete the patient information form. By completing this form prior to your arrival, we can begin your first visit without delay. For your convenience, if you would like to have other members of your family examined at the same time, please let us know so we can allow additional time for the examination.

We encourage questions from both the patient and the parent, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions. We feel that the better educated and informed you are about orthodontics, the better your treatment will progress.

Following the examination and discussion with Dr. Vakani, our Treatment Coordinator will discuss financial and insurance information as well as payment plans. If time allows, we may be able to begin treatment the same day to save you time.
